The Gurza, named after a venomous viper known to reside in Russia, Africa, parts of Asia, but mainly in the Caucasus. The ability to adapt has allowed this species of reptile to survive in most climates and environments.
So to, the model - Gurza-2 – also being a knife with much adaptability in its form, design and construction.
Main features include an abruptly up-swept blade curvature, with a finger notch or choil, for adopting the “choking up” grip when performing delicate carving tasks.
Form, design and function allow this model of knife to perform well when processing both large and small game animals.
A deeply engraved, detailed image of the Gurza ( viper ) adorns the mirror-like, highly polished razor sharp blade.
The handle, as you would come to expect from Kizlyar knives, is of the carefully crafted, resin impregnated Caucasian walnut variety, permanently fastened to the full tang with solid brass rivets.
A small portion of the tang is exposed at the end of the handle, presenting a lanyard hole.
The included sheath is of the heavy, embossed black leather type.
