JOKER ARTICA / NN-155

The JOKER Artica folding knife comprises an 8cm long, scandi grind blade crafted from Sandvik 14C28N (58-60HRC) 3mm thick steel. The Artica has a spine lock facilitating a very positive lock for added confidence. The walnut scales include an elegant swelling and downward sweep on its’ edge side providing some protection from a hand slipping forward on to the blade so to ensure a secure grip. The handle is large enough to accommodate fairly large hands very nicely, meaning that the blade is easily controlled during use.

The Artica is suited to such tasks including whittling, notching, lapping and shaping tasks which prove simple with this well-balanced knife, and shaped to make an efficient digging stick from a suitable branch, hack through or be baton-driven into the toughest wood are easily achieved with the well weighted, razor-sharp ‘V’ blade based on the ‘grandfather’ knife of Scandinavia. This ‘V’ grind is the grind of choice because it allows for easier sharpening in the field as well as giving an extremely robust cutting edge. And lastly, for food, the Artica’s drop-point blade means that it can be used for skinning and the sturdiness you might seek for harvesting if required.
